The classical model and classical texts as transformational.
Looking over several transformational teaching blog entries I have come to the realization that this "new" thing is simply a repackaging of the old. It has been called "best practices", "integrated curriculum", etc. However, all of these modern ideas fall short. While each of these trends have a kernel of truth they are not comprehensive explanations of the way toward transformation. Transformation is an inside-out process. This process is evident through the teaching of Jesus and his disciples. If an individual wanted to be free they had to take the initiative and walk, or believe, or change their thought process. Once we alter our thinking we can alter our actions to line up with the thoughts.
