I was so fortunate to be with Campbell for her race yesterday. I was proud of myself for getting up early, driving in the snow, and making it to the race on time. Campbell is such a strong, sweet young woman. She has struggled this week with fatigue and a bruised rib or something. She has been tired and just not herself. Her mind was trying to figure out how she could get to Eastern Champs. She was figuring away last night as well.
This girl has far surpassed me and my ability to sympathize with others. I am so selfish. I wish I could live up to her. Watching her yesterday brought tears to my eyes. I am currently mesmerized by Alysa Lui's Olympic figure skating performance. She skated to Donna Summer MacArthur Park. "Someone left the cake out." is one of the most quoted lines from the song. So here I am trying to figure out how to skate like Alysa in my house. LOL. I love the Olympics. Music and skating? Yes!

We all should want our children to surpass us. Smarter, richer, nicer, etc. I am a mother of a daughter who is far superior to me in the realm of personal relationships. She is sweet, supportive and loving to everyone. The only reason she might get nasty, is when they cross her or perpetuate an injust
