Sunday 3/15/26 Day 6

I estimate that before starting this detox and balancing my life, I was probably drinking between 40 and 50 drinks a week. 7 days x a bottle of wine each day=35 drinks but add the weekend where I added tequila and more drinks during the day it could quickly hit 40 or more. Even using the lower end, I am doing more than 50% better.

I did not start the detox until Tuesday but if I use Monday as a start my total drinks are Monday (5), Friday (4), Saturday (2) for a total of 11 and perhaps I will have 2 today that is still way lower than 40! Is it 75 Hard? No. But I am not going for radical discipline. I want to change my habits and find balance.

Saturday-4 miles jogging with Shadow, walk 1 mile with Ripper, home for mobility and rolling. Spent the rest of the day cleaning and baking Tucker's birthday cake. It was a good day. My eating was pretty low. I had 1/2 bagel with CC and 3 egg whites for breakfast, electrolytes, a piece of pizza, 1/2 cheese burger a few bites of cake and a couple chips. I probably stayed below 2000 calories even with cake and 2 glasses of wine. It felt like a good balance. I did not even feel hungry, so I wonder if the semaglutide is kicking in. Next shot will be on Friday 3/20 and I probably only have one after that.

In the fall when I used the semaglutide, it did not have an impact on my drinking. Actually it made it worse. I wonder if it is because I was not going to stop drinking, so I just kept going whereas this time, I am already not drinking so it worked better.

Sunday -up at 4am. Did some planning and now it is time to take the dogs for a walk before going skiing with Campbell.

Then the day went to hell. We went to Cannon and the mountain was packed since it was Bodefest. My expectations were all messed up. I set Campbell up with Dad, then went to the store to get a drink. I kept going downhill: I had pizza, a wing, a bite of a chocolate-chip muffin, and 2 glasses of wine. When I got back to Fryeburg, I had another glass with a burger. Then another glass with some cake. Basically, I went off the rails a bit.

Workout? Done at 6am. That was a good way to start the day.

Food? Not great. Not terrible. I mean I did not eat sandwiches with a bottle of white but I did have a slice of pizza and wings. I did take a pic, and read 10 pages.

So my off day included 4 glasses of wine and a few fatty foods.
